The story of

Carrie Zeidman

Carrie Zeidman is a digital artist and photographer whose passions are photography, art, travel, and history, all of which are found in her artwork. Her paintings start with a mood, an emotion, or a memory of some kind. Using color and figure, she finds a way to transfer that mood, emotion, or memory onto the two-dimensional surface of the painting. When finished, a successful piece is able to evoke the original feeling in the viewer. She likes how opposing elements work off of each other, so she tries to incorporate that contrast into her subject matter. Carrie has won numerous awards for her artwork and was named Cupertino Distinguished Artist of the Year in 2012. In November of 2009 Carrie’s painting depicting the fall of the Berlin Wall was put on permanent exhibit at the Checkpoint Charlie Museum (Mauermuseum) in Berlin, Germany. Carrie attended a celebration of the fall of the Berlin Wall marking the twentieth anniversary of this historic event. Carrie’s series, “Ghosts” was conceived during a trip to Poland and Israel in the spring of 2008.
